Terms & Conditions

Effective date and last updated: 25 August 2026

1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of www.nalan.com.sg and any order, reservation, purchase or service supplied under the Nalan Restaurant brand in Singapore, including dine-in, table reservations, takeaway, self-collection, online ordering, delivery, catering, bento meals, private dining, event bookings, sweets, savouries, gift boxes, hampers, custom-branded products, corporate orders, promotions and related services.

1.2 By accessing the website, placing an order, paying a deposit, approving a quotation or artwork, confirming a reservation, accepting delivery or using a Nalan service, the customer agrees to these Terms and any service-specific terms shown in the applicable menu, quotation, invoice, order confirmation, promotion or third-party ordering platform.

1.3 If a person places an order for a company, organisation, event host, recipient or another person, that person confirms that they have authority to do so and must communicate all relevant terms, allergen information, delivery instructions and product-care instructions to the relevant parties.

1.4 Customers must be at least 16 years old or have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian when entering into a paid transaction with Nalan.

2. Who the customer contracts with

2.1 For Nalan Restaurant City Hall, the contracting entity is FAST TRACK PTE. LTD. (UEN 200207152Z).

2.2 For Nalan Restaurant Little India, the contracting entity is KITCHEN TABLE PTE. LTD. (UEN 202025124K).

2.3 All catering services are supplied by FAST TRACK PTE. LTD. through Nalan City Hall.

2.4 For takeaway, delivery, online orders, sweets, gifts and private dining available through either outlet, the contracting entity is the company operating the outlet that accepts and fulfils the order. The applicable entity will be identified on the quotation, order confirmation, tax invoice or receipt.

2.5 In these Terms, “Nalan”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the applicable contracting entity. “Customer”, “you” and “your” refer to the person or organisation ordering, booking, paying for or receiving the relevant goods or services.

3. Order of priority and formation of contract

3.1 A website enquiry, catering enquiry, booking request or payment authorisation is not automatically an acceptance by Nalan. A binding contract is formed only when Nalan issues a written confirmation, accepts the order through its ordering system, issues an invoice or receipt, or begins preparing the order, whichever occurs first.

3.2 Nalan may decline or cancel an order before acceptance because of product unavailability, capacity limits, delivery restrictions, a pricing or description error, suspected fraud, payment failure, safety concerns or circumstances beyond reasonable control. Nalan will refund any amount already paid for an order cancelled by Nalan, except where cancellation results from the customer’s breach of these Terms.

3.3 If documents conflict, the following order applies: (a) a signed or expressly accepted quotation or service agreement; (b) the order confirmation or invoice; (c) service- or promotion-specific terms; and (d) these Terms. For orders placed through a third-party platform, that platform’s terms also apply to payment, account use and delivery performed by the platform.

4. Menus, products, availability and substitutions

4.1 Menus, ingredients, portion size, descriptions, availability, prices, packaging, operating hours and service times may change. Items are subject to availability and may sell out, particularly during weekends, festivals, public holidays and peak periods.

4.2 Photographs, illustrations, serving suggestions, colours and packaging shown online or in catalogues are for general reference. Handmade food and natural ingredients may vary in colour, shape, size, presentation and finish without affecting their quality.

4.3 Nalan may make reasonable substitutions where an ingredient, sweet, savoury, packaging component or decoration is unavailable. Any substitution will be of comparable character and value where reasonably possible and must continue to respect any dietary requirement expressly accepted in writing. Nalan will seek approval where the substitution materially changes the order.

4.4 Descriptions such as “serves”, “per person” and portion guidance are estimates. Actual needs vary according to appetite, event duration, menu composition and service style. The customer is responsible for ordering sufficient quantities after considering Nalan’s recommendations.

5. Vegetarian status, dietary requests and allergens

5.1 Nalan is a 100% vegetarian restaurant. As of now, Nalan is not halal-certified.

5.2 Selected dishes may be described as vegan-friendly, Jain-friendly, no onion, No Onion No Garlic, gluten-free, non-root or no added sugar only where the particular recipe or selection supports that description. “Vegetarian” does not mean vegan, and “no added sugar” does not mean sugar-free.

5.3 Nalan kitchens handle common allergens and ingredients including milk and dairy products, wheat and gluten, soya, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, mustard and other ingredients capable of causing allergic reactions. Food is prepared in shared kitchens using shared equipment and work areas. Nalan cannot guarantee that any item is completely free from an allergen or cross-contact.

5.4 Customers must disclose allergies, intolerances, medical dietary requirements and the severity of any reaction before ordering and must repeat this information when collecting or receiving food. Nalan may decline a request where it cannot be met safely. Customers with severe or life-threatening allergies should not rely solely on menu labels or verbal descriptions and should assess whether shared kitchen food is suitable for them.

5.5 Reasonable efforts will be made to follow an accepted dietary request, but modifications may affect taste, appearance or availability. Dietary requests are not confirmed unless recorded in the final order confirmation or quotation.

6. Prices, GST, service charge, packing and delivery fees

6.1 All prices are in Singapore dollars. Takeaway, delivery, catering, and gift prices include prevailing Singapore GST.

6.2 Dine-in orders, including private dine-in events, are subject to a 10% service charge and prevailing GST (currently 9%) unless the menu, promotion or quotation expressly states that the displayed price already includes those amounts.

6.3 A 10% packing charge applies to online delivery and takeaway orders. It does not apply to catering orders. The packing charge is calculated on the applicable food and product subtotal and will be shown or communicated before the order is confirmed.

6.4 Takeaway and delivery orders are not subject to the dine-in service charge. Delivery, restricted-area, parking, ERP, multiple-location, setup, equipment, manpower, collection and other expressly disclosed charges may apply separately.

6.5 Nalan may change prices prospectively. A confirmed order will not be repriced unless the customer changes the order, the quotation contains an obvious error, or a tax or government charge changes before supply and the law requires an adjustment.

6.6 If an obvious pricing or calculation error occurs, Nalan will contact the customer before fulfilment. The customer may accept the corrected price or cancel for a full refund. Nalan will not knowingly charge a higher amount without the customer’s agreement.

7. Payments, deposits and credit arrangements

7.1 Available payment methods may include cash, NETS, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, GrabPay, Alipay, WeChat Pay, India UPI and approved payment links. Availability varies by outlet, channel and payment provider. Nalan may refuse a payment method that is unavailable, unsupported or fails verification.

7.2 Catering and private-event bookings require a 50% deposit when the customer confirms the order. The booking is not secured until the deposit is received and Nalan issues confirmation.

7.3 The full outstanding balance for catering and private events must be paid no later than three calendar days before the event. If payment is late, Nalan may suspend preparation, treat the booking as cancelled by the customer and apply the cancellation schedule in section 14.

7.4 Corporate credit terms, including payment after delivery, apply only when Nalan has approved them in writing. A purchase order alone does not change the due date. Nalan may suspend future credit or orders while an invoice remains overdue.

7.5 Payment is subject to the terms and security checks of the relevant bank, card issuer or payment processor. Nalan does not receive or store full card credentials where payment is processed by a third party.

8. Dine-in and table reservations

8.1 Walk-ins and reservation requests are subject to capacity, operating hours and table availability. A reservation is confirmed only when Nalan or its authorised reservation system sends confirmation.

8.2 Customers should arrive on time. Unless a different grace period is stated in the confirmation, Nalan may release a table 15 minutes after the reservation time if the customer has not arrived or contacted the outlet. Seating time, table allocation and maximum dining duration may be managed reasonably during peak periods.

8.3 The customer must provide an accurate guest count and inform Nalan promptly of changes. Nalan cannot guarantee that additional guests can be accommodated. Large groups, special menus or peak-date reservations may require a deposit or minimum spend, which will be disclosed before confirmation.

8.4 Nalan is a strictly vegetarian and egg-free premises. Customers, guests, organisers, and external vendors must not bring, store, serve, or consume any meat, poultry, seafood, egg, or food or beverage containing those ingredients anywhere within Nalan premises. Nalan may refuse entry to or require the immediate removal of any non-compliant item.

8.5 Outside food and beverages are not permitted without prior written approval. A celebration cake may be brought in only with advance approval and must be entirely vegetarian and eggless. Before the cake enters the premises, the customer must provide the supplier invoice or receipt, together with an ingredient label, written supplier confirmation, or other evidence reasonably acceptable to Nalan confirming that the cake contains no egg, meat, poultry, seafood, gelatine, or other animal-derived non-vegetarian ingredient. Nalan may refuse a cake where the evidence is missing, unclear or inconsistent. Nalan is not responsible for the safety, quality, allergens or condition of an externally supplied cake.

8.6 Customers are responsible for supervising children and guests. Customers, guests and staff are expected to communicate politely and treat one another with dignity and respect. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, insulting, intimidating, harassing or physically aggressive behaviour towards Nalan staff or any other person is not permitted. Nalan may pause or discontinue service, remove a person or end an event where conduct is unsafe, unlawful, seriously disruptive or damaging to property. The customer remains responsible for food already ordered or prepared, amounts already incurred and damage caused by the customer or guests.

8.7 Personal belongings are brought onto the premises at the owner’s risk. Nalan will take reasonable care but is not responsible for loss or damage unless caused by Nalan’s negligence or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Takeaway and self-collection

9.1 The customer must select the correct outlet, collection date and time and provide accurate contact details. Collection times are estimates and may change because food is prepared fresh, during peak demand or because of circumstances outside reasonable control.

9.2 The customer or authorised collector should inspect the order at collection and promptly notify the outlet of any missing, incorrect or visibly damaged item. Once collected, responsibility for transport, temperature control and storage passes to the customer, except for defects existing at collection.

9.3 If the customer does not collect the order at the agreed time, Nalan will hold it only for a reasonable period consistent with food safety. Perishable food that can no longer be safely supplied may be discarded without refund.

9.4 No minimum order value applies to self-collection orders. Product-specific availability, preparation times, advance-order requirements and festival cut-off dates may still apply.

10. Online ordering and direct delivery

10.1 Customers are responsible for checking item choices, quantities, dietary notes, recipient details, delivery address, date, time and contact number before confirming payment. Instructions entered in a free-text field are requests and are not accepted unless shown in the order confirmation.

10.2 Delivery times and time windows are estimates, not guarantees. Nalan will use reasonable efforts to meet the confirmed time, but delays may arise from traffic, weather, security checks, building access, lift restrictions, road closures, courier availability, high order volume or other circumstances outside reasonable control.

10.3 The customer must ensure that the address is accessible, any required entry approval has been obtained, and an authorised recipient is available. The customer must disclose loading-bay, parking, security, stair, distance, restricted zone and delivery-time restrictions before confirmation. Additional waiting or access charges may apply if previously disclosed or reasonably incurred because supplied information was incomplete.

10.4 Delivery is completed when the order is handed to the customer, recipient, authorised representative, reception, concierge or other person reasonably appearing authorised at the address. If delivery fails because of an incorrect address, unavailable recipient, access restriction or customer delay, Nalan may charge for redelivery and cannot guarantee replacement or refund of perishable food.

10.5 Customers should check the order promptly and report a missing, incorrect, spilt or damaged item within one hour of delivery, with the order number and clear photographs where reasonably possible. This reporting period does not remove any non-excludable statutory right, but timely evidence helps Nalan investigate and offer an appropriate remedy.

10.6 Delivery Zones, Minimum Orders and Self-Collection. Delivery availability, service areas, minimum order values and delivery charges may vary according to the outlet, ordering channel, delivery address, order size and delivery provider. The applicable requirements will be displayed at checkout or communicated before confirmation. Nalan may decline delivery to an address outside its available service area. No minimum order value applies to self-collection orders.

11. Third-party ordering and delivery platforms

11.1 Orders placed through GrabFood, foodpanda, Deliveroo, CaterSpot, CaterSmith or another third-party service are also governed by that provider’s terms. The provider may control account access, payment processing, promotions, rider allocation, delivery tracking, refunds and service fees.

11.2 For a platform order, customers should first use the platform’s support process for payment, rider, delivery-location or platform-credit issues. Nalan remains responsible for preparing the food in accordance with the order accepted by the outlet and will reasonably assist with food-quality or item-accuracy concerns.

11.3 Prices, promotions, minimum orders and fees on third-party platforms may differ from Nalan’s direct channels. A promotion or price offered through one channel is not automatically available through another.

12. Catering services

12.1 Catering is supplied only by FAST TRACK PTE. LTD. through Nalan City Hall and is subject to availability, minimum quantities, lead times and a written quotation.

12.2 A quotation is valid for the period stated in it or, if no period is stated, for seven calendar days. Availability is not reserved until the 50% deposit is received and written confirmation is issued.

12.3 The final menu, dietary requirements, delivery address, service time, setup requirements and guaranteed guest count must be confirmed no later than three calendar days before the event. After that deadline, reductions do not reduce the confirmed price. Increases and menu changes are subject to availability and additional charges.

12.4 Catering prices include GST and are not subject to service charge or the 10% packing charge. Delivery, buffet setup, equipment, service staff, live stations, disposables, collection and special-access charges apply only where included in or added to the confirmed quotation.

12.5 The customer must ensure suitable and lawful access to the venue and obtain permissions for loading, parking, food service, cooking, electricity, water, gas, fire safety, waste handling, furniture and live stations. Delays or extra costs caused by unavailable access, inaccurate information or venue restrictions may be charged to the customer.

12.6 Food quantities are based on the confirmed guest count and menu. Nalan is not responsible for shortages caused by attendance exceeding that count, unusually large consumption, delayed service or the customer allowing food intended for a later service period to be consumed early.

12.7 Where reusable equipment is provided, the customer is responsible for reasonable care and for ensuring it is available for collection at the agreed time. Lost, inaccessible or damaged equipment may be charged at reasonable replacement or repair cost, excluding fair wear and tear.

12.8 Food should be served and consumed promptly in accordance with the stated “consume by” time and any storage or reheating instructions supplied. Hot food should be kept at 60°C or above and chilled food at 4°C or below. Cooked or ready-to-eat food must not remain within the temperature danger zone of above 4°C to below 60°C for more than four hours in total, including transport, display and service time. Food that has exceeded its stated time or safe temperature limit must be discarded and must not be served, refrigerated for later use or redistributed.

12.9 After delivery, collection or handover, the customer or venue is responsible for maintaining safe temperature control, monitoring service time and disposing of leftovers in accordance with Nalan’s instructions. Nalan is not responsible for deterioration caused by delayed service, improper storage, reheating, extended display, cross-contamination or other handling after handover, except to the extent a problem was caused by Nalan before handover.

13. Private dining and event bookings

13.1 Private dining and event space are subject to outlet availability, capacity, approved event type and a written quotation. The applicable contracting entity is the operator of the booked outlet.

13.2 A 50% deposit is required on confirmation, and the balance is due three calendar days before the event. Private dine-in orders are subject to a 10% service charge and prevailing GST (currently 9%) unless the quotation expressly states that these are included.

13.3 The confirmed quotation will state the booked duration, access time, menu, minimum spend or room charge, guest count, equipment, staffing and setup. Overtime, additional food, extra staff, special equipment or services requested on the day are chargeable and subject to availability.

13.4 Unless otherwise stated, final menu and guest count changes must be received at least three calendar days before the event. Billing may be based on the confirmed guest count, guaranteed minimum or actual attendance, whichever basis is stated in the quotation.

13.5 Decorations, adhesives, candles, open flames, confetti, entertainment, external vendors, audio-visual use, speeches, music and photography require prior approval. Nothing may damage the premises, disturb other customers, obstruct exits or breach building rules or law. The organiser is responsible for guests, vendors and reasonable repair or cleaning costs caused by them.

13.6 The strictly vegetarian and egg-free premises rule in clauses 8.4 and 8.5 applies to every private dining event. No outside food or beverage may be brought in unless approved in writing. Approved celebration cakes require the invoice or receipt and satisfactory ingredient or supplier evidence before entry. Nalan may inspect the evidence, refuse or remove a non-compliant item and impose reasonable food-safety and handling conditions.

13.7 Nalan may take photographs or recordings of the general ambience, food, decorations or event setup at its outlets and events. Nalan will not intentionally publish an identifiable image or recording of a customer for marketing without the individual’s consent or another lawful basis. Customers who do not wish to appear should inform the staff or event organiser, and Nalan will take reasonable steps to respect the request. Event organisers are responsible for communicating relevant photography arrangements to their guests.

14. Cancellations, reductions, rescheduling and refunds

14A. Standard takeaway, self-collection and delivery orders

14.1 A standard order may be cancelled for a full refund before Nalan accepts the order or begins preparation, whichever occurs first. Once preparation has begun, fresh and perishable items are non-cancellable and non-refundable unless Nalan agrees otherwise or the order is defective, incorrect or not supplied.

14.2 Reasonable change requests will be considered before preparation but are subject to availability and price adjustment. A change is effective only when Nalan confirms it.

14B. Catering and private events

14.3 The following fair cancellation schedule applies to the total confirmed order value. Nalan may deduct documented, non-recoverable third-party or custom production costs where those costs exceed the stated cancellation charge, but will not recover the same loss twice.

Cancellation received Cancellation charge
15 or more calendar days
before the event
0% of the total confirmed order value
8–14 calendar days before
the event
10% of the total confirmed order value
4–7 calendar days before
the event
50% of the total confirmed order value
3 calendar days or less
before the event, or non-attendance
100% of the total confirmed order value

14.4 Any refund is the amount paid less the applicable cancellation charge and any properly chargeable additional costs under clause 14.3. If the amount already paid is less than the cancellation charge, the balance remains payable.

14.5 One request to reschedule may be made at least seven calendar days before the event. Rescheduling is subject to availability, must generally be to a date within three months and may require payment of price differences and nonrecoverable costs already incurred. A request received later may be treated as a cancellation unless Nalan agrees otherwise in writing.

14.6 Guest-count reductions received before the final confirmation deadline will be reflected where the quotation permits. Reductions received after the deadline do not reduce the confirmed charge because ingredients, staffing, production and equipment may already have been committed.

14C. Custom gifts and bulk orders

14.7 For customised boxes, cards, stickers, sleeves, ribbons, printing, engraving or other branded components, the customer may cancel before approving the final artwork and before procurement or production begins. Nalan may retain reasonable design, sample, supplier and material costs already incurred.

14.8 After artwork approval or the start of procurement, printing or production, customised components are non-refundable. Food not yet produced will be charged fairly based on the stage of preparation and non-recoverable commitments. If the order is cancelled three calendar days or less before delivery or collection, the full confirmed amount is payable.

14D. Refund administration

14.9 Approved refunds will normally be initiated to the original payment method within seven working days. Banks, card issuers and platforms may require additional processing time. Platform orders and credits are refunded through the relevant platform where required.

14.10 Nothing in this section limits a remedy required by Singapore law where goods or services do not conform to the contract or where an unfair practice has occurred.

15. Sweets, savouries, gift boxes and customised products

15.1 Seasonal products, flavours, assortments and packaging are subject to availability. Where the customer does not confirm specific selections within the required lead time, Nalan may provide an assorted selection from the available range.

15.2 Specific sweet selections generally require at least seven calendar days’ preorder unless a different lead time is stated. Festival and corporate quantities should be ordered earlier because production capacity and packaging components are limited. Nalan may publish specific ordering cut-off dates for festival and bulk orders. Orders received after the applicable cut-off date are subject to production capacity and are not guaranteed until confirmed in writing.

15.3 Shelf life and storage vary by product. The date and storage instruction printed on the label or supplied with the order take priority. Nalan uses the following date wording according to the nature of the food:

Date wording When Nalan uses it
Consume by — date and time Freshly prepared takeaway meals, bento meals, delivery food and catering food intended for prompt consumption.Do not consume or serve after the stated time.
Use by — date and, where needed, time Chilled or highly perishable ready-to-eat products.Keep at the stated chilled temperature and do not consume after the stated date or time.
Best before — date Sweets, dry savouries and other longer-life products where the date primarily indicates expected freshness and quality when unopened and correctly stored.
Expiry date — date Products for which an expiry date is legally required or where Nalan sets an absolute final date for sale and consumption.

15.4 A date mark is valid only while the product remains unopened or properly sealed and is stored exactly as instructed. Opening, contamination, damaged packaging, heat, moisture or incorrect storage may make food unsuitable before the printed date. Customers must not consume food showing mould, swelling, leakage, unusual odour, discolouration or other signs of spoilage, even if the printed date has not passed.

15.5 Where a festival sweet box is confirmed as having a seven-day shelf life, the label should show a “best before” date. It must be kept unopened or properly closed in a cool, dry place and must not be refrigerated unless the product label states otherwise. The seven-day period begins on the production or packing date stated or reflected on the label, not on the date the box is first opened.

15.6 Perishable food cannot be returned merely because of a change of mind or personal taste. If an item is incorrect, damaged, spoiled on receipt or materially different from the confirmed order, the customer should contact Nalan promptly and, where reasonably possible, within 24 hours, with the order details, photographs, storage information and remaining product for investigation.

15.7 Packaging, bags, trays, jars, boxes, inserts, ribbons and decorative elements are included only where stated in the confirmed product description or quotation. Packaging images are illustrative and may change to an equivalent format because of supply availability.

15.8 For customer-supplied artwork, logos, names and messages, the customer confirms that it owns or has permission to use the material and that it is accurate, lawful and non-infringing. The customer must check spelling, dates, colours, layout and contact details in the proof. Nalan is not responsible for errors that appear in an approved proof.

15.9 Printed and handmade colours may vary slightly between screens, proofs, packaging materials and production batches. Nalan will use reasonable efforts to match approved artwork but cannot guarantee exact screen-to-print colour reproduction.

16. Promotions, discounts, privileges and vouchers

16.1 Promotions, corporate privileges, membership benefits, loyalty, birthday benefits, vouchers, discount codes, complimentary items and mall or partner offers are subject to their published validity period, eligibility criteria, outlet, channel, minimum spend, excluded dates, excluded products and redemption instructions.

16.2 Unless expressly stated, promotions cannot be combined, exchanged for cash, applied retrospectively, transferred or used with another discount. The customer must request and present the relevant pass, code, company name, identification or supporting evidence before payment.

16.3 A promotion may be limited by stock, capacity or allocation. Nalan may correct a genuine publication error, reject fraudulent or duplicated use, or withdraw a promotion prospectively, but will honour a valid confirmed transaction unless fulfilment is impossible or unlawful.

16.4 Third-party promotions are also subject to the partner’s terms. Where a partner controls eligibility or reimbursement, Nalan may reasonably require the customer to contact that partner, while assisting with proof of the Nalan transaction.

16.5 Nalan’s corporate membership or corporate privilege programme is available only to companies approved by Nalan. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval. The applicable benefits, validity period, participating outlets and redemption requirements will be stated in the membership confirmation or current programme terms.

16.6 Corporate benefits may be used only by eligible employees or authorised representatives of the approved company and must be redeemed using the verification method communicated by Nalan. Benefits may not be sold, transferred to an unrelated person, exchanged for cash or combined with another promotion unless expressly permitted.

16.7 Nalan may suspend or withdraw corporate benefits in cases of misuse, fraudulent redemption, overdue corporate invoices, false information or breach of the programme terms. Nalan will honour valid transactions confirmed before the withdrawal, except where the confirmation resulted from misuse, fraud or false information, or where fulfilment would be unlawful or impossible.

17. Food quality concerns, complaints and service recovery

17.1 Customers should raise a concern as soon as reasonably possible so Nalan can investigate. Please provide the outlet, date and time, order or receipt number, affected item, photographs where relevant, how the food was transported or stored, and a contact number.

17.2 Depending on the circumstances, Nalan may offer correction, replacement, re-performance, credit, partial refund or full refund. The remedy will reflect the affected item or service and available evidence. Complimentary gestures offered as goodwill do not constitute an admission of liability.

17.3 Customers should not consume food reasonably suspected to be unsafe and should retain the product and packaging where safe to do so until Nalan advises whether collection or further information is needed.

18. Website use and intellectual property

18.1 The website is provided for lawful personal and business enquiry use. Customers must not disrupt the website, bypass security, introduce malicious code, scrape or harvest data at scale, impersonate another person, submit fraudulent information or use the site in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

18.2 Unless otherwise stated, the Nalan name, logos, photographs, menus, designs, text, graphics, product names and other website content are owned by or licensed to Nalan. They may not be copied, republished, altered, sold, commercially exploited or used to suggest endorsement without prior written permission. Ordinary sharing of a public webpage link is permitted.

18.3 The website may link to independent services. Nalan does not control their availability, content, security or privacy practices and is not responsible for them except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

18.4 While Nalan aims to keep information accurate and available, the website may contain temporary errors or be unavailable. Customers should rely on the final quotation, order confirmation, current menu or direct confirmation for time-sensitive purchases.

18.5 Where a customer voluntarily submits feedback, a testimonial, photograph, video or review directly to Nalan for publication or promotional use, the customer confirms that they have the right to provide the content and grants Nalan a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce, edit for length without changing its meaning, and publish it on Nalan-owned or authorised websites, social media channels and marketing materials. Nalan will not publish personal contact information without permission. This clause does not automatically apply to reviews posted independently on third-party platforms.

18A. Franchise Enquiries

18A.1 Submission of a franchise enquiry, application or expression of interest does not constitute an offer, approval, partnership, franchise grant or binding commitment by Nalan or the applicant.

18A.2 Information submitted through the franchise enquiry process may be used to assess the proposed opportunity, conduct appropriate checks and contact the applicant. Applicants must provide accurate information and should not submit confidential or proprietary business information unless a separate written confidentiality agreement is in place.

18A.3 Any franchise rights, territory, fees, training, intellectual-property use or other commercial arrangement will arise only under a separate formal franchise agreement signed by the relevant parties.

19. Personal data and communications

19.1 Nalan may collect, use and disclose personal data to respond to enquiries, process enquiries, reservations and orders, take payment, deliver products, manage events, provide customer service, prevent fraud, meet legal and accounting duties, improve operations and send marketing where consent or another lawful basis applies.

19.2 Personal data may be shared where reasonably necessary with the applicable Nalan entity, payment processors, technology providers, reservation systems, couriers, event suppliers, professional advisers, authorities and other service providers, subject to appropriate safeguards and the Nalan Privacy Policy.

19.3 A customer providing recipient or guest data confirms that the data is accurate and that the customer is authorised to provide it for order fulfilment or event administration. Nalan will not use a gift recipient’s details for unrelated marketing without the required basis.

19.4 Marketing communications may be withdrawn using the unsubscribe method provided or by contacting Nalan. Transactional messages about an order, booking, delivery, payment or safety matter may still be sent.

19.5 The collection, retention, access, correction, protection, transfer and disposal of personal data are further described in Nalan’s Privacy Policy, which should be read together with these Terms.

19.6 Nalan does not sell customers’ personal data. Nalan implements reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, loss or disposal.

19.7 Personal data submitted through a job application or Careers page may be used to assess the application, communicate with the applicant, verify qualifications or references where appropriate, conduct permitted recruitment checks and comply with legal obligations.

19.8 Applicant information may be retained for a reasonable period for the current application and, where permitted, for consideration for future suitable positions. Applicants may contact Nalan regarding access, correction, withdrawal of consent or other applicable data-protection requests in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

20. Liability

20.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

20.2 Subject to clause 20.1 and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Nalan is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, opportunity or anticipated savings, or loss resulting from information or instructions supplied inaccurately by the customer.

20.3 Subject to clause 20.1 and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Nalan’s aggregate liability arising from an affected order or booking will not exceed the amount paid or payable for that affected order or booking. This limitation does not apply where it would be unreasonable or unlawful under applicable Singapore law.

20.4 Nalan is not responsible for delay or failure caused by a third-party platform, courier, venue, building management, utility failure or other external party except to the extent Nalan selected or managed that party negligently or otherwise remains liable by law.

20.5 The customer is responsible for reasonable losses, claims or costs arising from the customer’s unlawful conduct, unauthorised use of third-party intellectual property, material breach of these Terms, or property damage caused by the customer, guests or contractors, except to the extent caused or increased by Nalan.

21. Events beyond reasonable control

21.1 Neither party is responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, flood, fire, epidemic, government action, civil emergency, transport disruption, venue closure, utility failure, labour disruption, supply interruption or platform outage.

21.2 The affected party must notify the other as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to reduce the impact. Nalan may offer an alternative item, revised time, rescheduled date, credit or refund. Any refund may reasonably exclude non-recoverable custom or third-party costs already incurred, except where the law requires otherwise.

22. Changes to these Terms

22.1 Nalan may update these Terms to reflect operational, legal, tax, technology or service changes. Nalan will publish the updated version with a revised “Last updated” date.

22.2 Changes apply prospectively. The terms accepted when an order or booking was confirmed continue to govern that transaction unless both parties agree otherwise or a legal change must apply immediately.

23. General legal terms

23.1 If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be interpreted or reduced to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

23.2 A failure or delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. A waiver applies only to the specific instance in which it is given.

23.3 The customer may not transfer a confirmed booking or contract without Nalan’s written consent, which will not be unreasonably withheld where the change does not increase risk or cost. Nalan may transfer its rights or obligations as part of a genuine business reorganisation or transfer, provided this does not reduce the customer’s rights.

23.4 A person who is not a party to the contract has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 to enforce these Terms, except that the applicable Nalan entity’s employees, officers, contractors and service providers may rely on a provision that expressly protects them.

23.5 Electronic confirmations, approvals, invoices, messages and signatures may be used for transactions and records to the extent permitted by Singapore law.

23.6 These Terms and the documents incorporated under clause 3.3 constitute the entire agreement for the relevant transaction, without excluding liability for fraud or misrepresentation that cannot lawfully be excluded.

24. Governing law and disputes

24.1 These Terms and each transaction are governed by the laws of Singapore.

24.2 The parties should first try in good faith to resolve a concern directly. The customer may contact Nalan using the details below. If the matter is not resolved, either party may use any applicable mediation, consumer-dispute or court process. The courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer right or jurisdiction.
